This nice little Mustang GT is in great condition. Power goes to two rear wheels by the 4.6L V8 and tunes can be blasted by the Shaker 500 8-speaker audio system. The convertible top is in excellent condition and can be retracted with ease. Extra goodies on this example include the GT Appearance Package, which gets you a fancy hood scoop for more smiles per gallon, bright rolled exhaust tips, and a pony emblem engine cover, which looks absolutely STUNNING. A pretty engine, indeed, for a pretty car. This car also received an aftermarket start system by the previous owner.
The fifth generation of the Ford Mustang was unveiled during a time of retro-styling brought about by various manufacturers. Ford put out the GT in 2005 as a nod to the 1965 LeMans car, Chevy released whatever the SSR was, and Chrysler whipped out the PT Cruiser in it's cringe glory. Ford did a clever job releasing this Mustang for its 40th anniversary with retro-style gauges, familiar laid out interior, and almost the same displacement as the original V8s. The 4.6L varies slightly in volume from the 289, but modern horsepower will usually trump old horses (300 hp in 2007 to 225 in 1967), unless you're a 426 Hemi or a Chevy 505. We'll take a seat. The all aluminum block featured a single overhead cam with variable camshaft timing. The 3-valve Modular V8 was named one of Ward's 10 Best Engines from 2005-2008.
Whether you are cruising to Spring Training games, admiring your garage piece, or looking for a first car for a well-deserving child (or one that wrecked the one you graciously gave them), this Redfire Metallic Mustang GT will surely delight your senses without going into oblivion with all the new-fangled technology. A true blast-to-the-past this is.
